Behind the line-up DGTL Amsterdam 2023
Published: February 21, 2023

We cannot wait to welcome you back to the iconic NDSM Docklands. Our 10-year anniversary in Amsterdam this year calls for a special celebration, which is why we made sure to book a versatile program again.

Feeling a bit intimidated navigating our program? Don’t worry; together with our DGTL bookers, we will take you through the ins and outs of this year’s line-up.

Friday night

Kicking the weekend off in style during our opening night on Friday, we have Grammy-award-winning artist mura masa. He has been on our wishlist for quite some time, and we are thrilled he will join us during DGTL Amsterdam 2023. Although he is commonly known for his pop-oriented music, you might be surprised by the sound he brings to his live performances.

During last year’s DGTL in Amsterdam, I. Jordan gave an electrifying performance on our Frequency stage. This year he will be joined by TAAHLIAH, an exciting upcoming artist proclaimed ‘Introducing Dance Artist of the Year’ by BBC Radio One. While Jordan is known for his high-energy, fast-paced dance music, her music transcends all genres. An interesting combination for sure, to properly close our first night.

Saturday

Parisian synth-pop duo – Clara Cappagli and Armand Bultheel – commonly known as Agar Agar, are pushing the electronic scene in exciting directions with their haunting melodies and infectious loops. With a new album on the way, we are curious to find out what they will show us during their live performance on our Modular stage.

One of the most exciting DJs from the new wave of high-speed and industrial techno artists, Martyna Maja, AKA VTSS, has been carving a niche of her own. She gave an exceptional performance at the Filter stage last year. This year, she will move to an even bigger area and will surely be one of the highlights at our Generator stage.

The Canadian queen of infectious energy, vitality, and boundless enthusiasm Jayda G is also joining us this year. Musically she draws inspiration from a childhood spent devouring her parent’s record collection of Soul, Jazz, R&B, Funk and Blues; the roller discos her sister used to drag her to; and the CDs from artists like TLC and D’Angelo that arrived in the post for her older brother. We can promise you three things from her set: heat, joy, and groove.

fka.m4a is a well-known figure in the Berlin music scene. They have played at some of the most renowned places, like the Panoramabar. Though fka.m4a is now a regular and beloved guest, it was the set they played on HÖR’s first birthday in 2020 that turned heads throughout the industry – including that of Peggy Gou, who later slid into fka.m4a’s DMs, applauding their sound and inviting them to open for her at an upcoming show. We cannot wait to experience this.

Jeremy Guindo, also known as Bambounou, is a Parisian DJ with a unique approach to UK techno, IDM, and tribal music. His inspiration is fueled by his diverse background, including French, Malian, and Polish influences, and his passion for astrophysics and science fiction. Spending the past few years honing his sound and technique, Bambounou, a key figure in the Parisian scene, has gained his position from his genre bending and jubilant electronic music productions and laying down solid freight train DJ sets around the globe.
