Heesterveld Creative Community
Located in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost you find Heesterveld Creative Community. A community established to stimulate and facilitate creativity, cooperation and cultural entrepreneurship. The residents at Heesterveld Creative Community are (upcoming) creatives from all kinds of disciplines. The disciplines in which the residents specialize fall within a broad spectrum of visual & graphic arts, producers of various music genres, writers & poets, singers, rappers, cultural organization talents, and everything that comes with it.
DGTL x Heesterveld Creative Community
This year, we collaborate with Heesterveld Creative Community for the first time by co-hosting our 8th stage. Located in the ever-mesmerizing crane, we’ll create an ultimate space for exploration. Expect an intimate setting, unique musical performances, inspiring new sounds and most of all; an uplifting party environment in which creative freedom and surprise are central elements.
Amongst many others is renowned artist sor [live], who combines the worlds of classical music and hiphop. Besides rapping, sor also sings, composes, produces, and conducts music. Another artist on the line-up is the Portugese DJ Danifox. His style comes from Batida, Lisbon’s term for underground music. Influenced by Kuduro, Tarraxo and Lisbon ghetto: a mix of African percussion and electronic melodies known as “techno”.
Furthermore we have Amsterdam natives DRKNGHTS, who have been pushing the underground club sound everywhere they go since the minute they touched a set of decks. Expect a musical selection spanning from all corners of club, rave and tech.
Another person on the list of many not-to-be-missed acts is OISHĪ, who also resides at Heesterveld Creative Community. An upcoming artist who’s source of inspiration comes from House, Afro riddims, Vogue beats, a dash of Baile Funk and a scoop of Ancestral otherworldly tribal sounds. The melt down of all these music styles make her an Eclectic DJ who’s also rooted in the Queer/Ballroom scene.
