For a year long, we can call ourselves the most sustainable company of Amsterdam. After a nomination round and a voting period (thank you to everyone who voted!) we got in the results yesterday. The jury praised our way of pioneering with circular economy and making it tangible for the city and its habitants.
With DGTL Revolution we strive to be unique in the festival world. With a focus on sustainability and innovation. Our goal is to become a circular festival in 2020. Which means, becoming completely waste and emission free.
We hope to become an example with all our festivals, no matter where in the world, for other (festival) organizations. A couple of our sustainable pillars are being meat-free, a hard cup rotation system, a resource plan instead of a waste plan, all our merch is sustainable and the urine of our visitors is being recycled to a fertilizer.
It is the second sustainability award we won in a short period of time, next to the Premios Fest award. We’re also nominated for the “Outstanding Green Event” award for FestX. Let’s continue the Revolution this upcoming Easter at DGTL Amsterdam 2018!
