LOCATION
We return to our beloved NDSM wharf
HOW TO GET THERE
Ferry
From Amsterdam Central Station, you can easily take the ferry to NDSM. You can check the departure times live at https://pontveer.nl/. Please note that the ferries from the NDSM back to Amsterdam Central do not sail all night. The sailing time is about fifteen minutes, and from the ferry, it’s about a five-minute walk to the NDSM warehouse.
Please be advised that waiting times might increase during peak hours, especially after the festival ends. If you need to catch the last train home, be sure to take this into account.
Bicycle
We recommend you travel to our festival grounds by bicycle. We advise you to take the ferry from Amsterdam Central station to ‘Buiksloterweg’ and cycle from there, or take the ferry from Pontsteiger to ‘Distelweg’ and then cycle from there. We will place a sufficient amount of storage facilities close to the festival. Please listen to the instructions of our crew on site.
Uber / Kiss & ride
Are you taking an Uber, or is somebody dropping you off at the festival site? You can set your navigation for ‘T.t. Vasumweg’. There will also be signs and traffic control to direct you to the right place. The on-site crew will ensure everyone can get off in a safe and organised fashion.
Taxi
If you take a taxi instead of an Uber, you can go to ‘Mt. Tarnweg’ If you want to take a taxi home, this is also where you must go.
By car
We don’t recommend travelling to the festival by car, as it’s not sustainable, and you cannot park your car in the entire area near the event location.
ECO CUPS
From a sustainable perspective, we use reusable hard cups instead of plastic cups. You will buy your first cup or bottle for €1,50, which will be deducted from the following order when returning your cup/bottle at the bar. At the end of the night, you can take the cup home.
GENERAL DISPOSAL
DGTL has set the goal to become the world’s first zero-waste festival. Based on the principles of a circular economy, we treat all festival “waste” as valuable resources instead and therefore separate and index all incoming and outgoing materials. This means that we have replaced all traditional trash bins with our new RCPs (Resource Collection Points). All your resources (plastics, organics/compostables, and other materials) can be deposited in the RCPs to be recycled or reused on-site and offsite. Together, we can set an example for sustainability and become the greenest festival in the world.
Please note it is not allowed to take any bottles, canisters, drinks or foods with you to the festival, it is not allowed. This includes:
- Containers carrying liquids.
- Deodorant bottles or rollers.
- Hard plastic water bottles.
CASHLESS
Top up stations
Paying at DGTL is cashless. If you want to pay with cash, There will be top-up stations on the festival site where you can exchange your cash for a DGTL card to pay with.
PRACTICAL
Warm clothing
We advise you to bring warm clothing as it cools quickly at night. The NDSM warehouse can also be quite chilly in some areas, and the food court is situated outdoors. There are lockers for sale where you can store these clothes.
Can I buy cigarettes?
Cigarettes will not be sold at the festival.
Can I bring my laptop or tablet to the festival?
You are not allowed to bring your laptop or tablet device to the festival, not even if you store it in your locker.
Can I bring my GoPro or Camera to the festival?
You are allowed to enter the festival site with a GoPro. You are not allowed to bring a selfie stick; this will be taken at the festival’s entrance. You can also bring your own camera, but not a reflex camera.
Can I bring medicine?
Please note that medicine will only be allowed into the premises if the package is sealed.
Is there any special food available? (Gluten-free etc.)
Yes, we care about all of you, so we thought about all of you. Gluten-free food will be available at the food court. All foods served during DGTL Amsterdam will be plant-based and biologically produced.
DISABLED GUESTS
DGTL strives to make its events accessible to all visitors with a disability. Our festival grounds are equipped with wheelchair access in all areas. For special requests, please contact hello@dgtl.nl.
TAP WATER
There will be free tap water in all toilet areas.
ZERO TOLERANCE
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards hard drugs.
I LOVE MY EARS
Please take care of your ears! With music above 87 dB, it is smart to use earplugs with a special music filter. With these earplugs, you can still hear the music perfectly; conversations remain intelligible and most important of all, you prevent hearing damage and the annoying ringing after the event. In addition, the Alpine PartyPlug earplugs are super comfortable. During DGTL ADE, Alpine PartyPlug earplugs will be available at the merchandise stand. The PartyPlug earplugs are reusable so that you can protect your ears not only at DGTL but at other festivals as well. Love your ears!

COMPENSATE YOUR CO2 EMISSION TO DGTL
At DGTL, we are highly aware of our environmental impacts. All year round, DGTL searches for the latest technological breakthroughs to close material loops. DGTL is a living lab for future city innovations, leaving behind a structural trace. If you want to join us in our mission for a better world, you can compensate for your means of travel to the festival by clicking here.
DGTL ETHICS
We strive to create an environment where a person can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any form of emotional or physical harm. To support us in establishing this new frontier, we partnered up with Rave Scout Cookies to develop our Festival Ethics:
Harassment free space
We prevent harm by confronting harassment in real time and encouraging a consent culture.
Collective accountability
Together we can create a socially conscious dance floor.
Harm reduction
We want our community to be able to celebrate safely by promoting harm reduction.
At DGTL, we believe in:
- A dance floor for all
- A place to feel comfortable and free
- Exploring a curiosity for electronic music, art, and culture
- A sustainable future
A safer dance floor is a collective effort. Help us create an environment free from harassment, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and sexism.
