FAQ

Statement regarding heavy rain on Sunday

We’re immensely grateful for your presence and energy this weekend, which contributes to the vibrant atmosphere we aim for. We’re aware that some of you may have experienced discomfort due to heavy rainfall and flooding that led to overcrowding in certain areas.

The problems we encountered were mostly due to unexpected heavy rain on Sunday. This flooded the NDSM drainage systems and parts of our dance floor. Even though we engaged professionals helping us monitor the weather, the rain was much worse than predicted, leaving us unable to swiftly manage the situation.

Despite all areas being covered at DGTL, allowing more than 100% of the visitor capacity to be sheltered, the combination of water on certain parts of the dance floors and the popularity of certain acts caused visitors to gravitate towards Modular and Generator, further adding to overcrowding in those areas. We assure you we have not exceeded the permitted number of visitors.

Your safety remains our top priority, and we’re committed to learn from these challenges to improve future events. We deeply appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these unforeseen challenges, and strive to provide unforgettable experiences while prioritizing your well-being. Your feedback is important to us, so please share your thoughts in our survey.

I cannot download my tickets

Apologies for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with downloading your ticket. We’re aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. You can download your tickets from here: https://account.paylogic.com/i-lost-my-tickets

Please note that DGTL recently switched from ticket provider. As a result, some visitors have purchased their tickets through Twelve Ticketing, while others have used See Tickets (Paylogic).

With Twelve Ticketing, tickets are immediately downloadable, whereas with See Tickets, they become available one day before the festival begins.

Nevertheless, tickets from both providers are valid for entry, and they can both be promptly listed on Ticketswap.

When do I receive my ticket?
This year we are working with sealed tickets, which means the tickets will not be sent out immediately after completing the purchase. They will become available and will be sent out to the main buyer on March 28 2024, after all tickets in the order have been personalised. On this date, the main buyer will receive a new email from See Tickets with the download link for their tickets.

HOW TO GET THERE

Ferry

From Amsterdam Central Station, you can easily take the ferry to NDSM. We will provide extra ferries, besides the regular schedule, to the festival from Amsterdam Central Station. The festival ferry will depart from the regular ferry platform directly behind Amsterdam Central Station. The ferries sail during the day, but also at night. You can check all the departure times live at https://pontveer.nl/, please do so before planning your trip.

From Amsterdam Central Station to the NDSM the sailing time is about fifteen minutes, and from the ferry it’s about a five-minute walk to the NDSM warehouse. The saling time from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg is 5 minutes, and from the ferry it’s a 10 minute bike ride to the NDSM Warehouse.

Please be advised that waiting times might increase during peak hours, especially after the event ends. If you need to catch the last train home, be sure to take this into account.

For those attending the night program, you can check the ferry schedule in advance here

Bicycle

We recommend you to travel to the NDSM Docklands by bicycle. We advise you to take the ferry from Amsterdam Central station to ‘Buiksloterweg’ and cycle from there, or take the ferry from Pontsteiger to ‘Distelweg’ and then cycle from there. Note that bicycles are not allowed on the ferry towards central station from the NDSM. We’ve made sure there are designated areas to park your bike. Please listen to the instructions of our crew on site.

By car
We don’t recommend travelling to the event by car, as it’s not sustainable, and there will be no dedicated parking spaces for DGTL visitors available.

Uber / Kiss & ride

Are you taking an Uber, or is somebody dropping you off at the event site? The Uber drop off is at Ms. Tarnweg, and the kiss & ride drop off is at Tt. Vasumweg.

There will also be signs and traffic control to direct you to the right place. The on-site crew will ensure everyone can get off in a safe and organised fashion.

Taxi
If you take a taxi instead of an Uber, you can go to the crossroad between the NDSM-straat and Ms. van Riemsdijkweg. If you want to take a taxi home, this is also where you must go.

DGTL IS CASHLESS
  • No more tokens
  • Pay with your debit or credit card
  • Pay with your smartphone with Appe Pay

Please note: There will be top-up stations on the festival site where you can exchange your cash for a DGTL card to pay with.

DGTL FESTIVAL ETHICS

Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable festival experience, and to positively impact the music industry. All of this, however, is not possible unless we create a environment that is safe and welcoming to all.

While on location at the Docklands, you’ll find members of our Awareness Crew walking around. You can also at any time reach out to our team leads and security personnel. We want to emphasize that nobody is allowed to occupy a space, mind, or body that has not been mutually agreed upon.

At DGTL, we believe in:

  • A dancefloor for all
  • A place to feel comfortable and free
  • Exploring a curiosity for electronic music, art and culture
  • A sustainable future

A safer dancefloor is a collective effort. Help us create an environment free from harassment, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and sexism. DGTL does not endorse or condone the use of illegal substances.

Social & collective responsibility

By entering our grounds, you agree to work towards the collective goal of creating safe(r) dancefloors for everyone. We strive for a festival experience in which we all, the visitors and organization keep each other accountable for our words and actions. We do not condone any form of verbal or physical harassment.

Harassment can be defined as words or actions that can come across as intimidating, confrontational or abusive to another person. Keep in mind that what someone else considered harassment may not be considered harassment by you.

 Consent culture

We are committed to enabling consent culture throughout DGTL Amsterdam. Consent is about respecting a person’s decisions and autonomy of their own body. It is obtained when the other party says an enthusiastic and conscious “Yes”, not when someone doesn’t say “No”. Consent is a mutual and ongoing dialogue, and can be withdrawn at any stage.

 Responsible and safe celebration

We have the freedom to make our own decisions as adults. We therefore expect our visitors to be conscious and responsible when entering our festival grounds. An amazing festival starts with taking the necessary precautions. When in doubt, less is always more.

Keep in mind that only you should have the say over what goes into your body; peer pressure is challenging to overcome. Additionally, don’t forget to regularly check up on your friends & other people around you. Make sure to drink enough water, but not too much – about 1 glass water per hour. Not feeling well? Please keep in mind that our awareness team and first aid is always here to help you, our visitor.
